Technology and Leadership
Spring 2012
Instructor: Dr. Nick Sheltrown
In this course I am learning to manage potential learning opportunities from the intersecting perspective of learning, teaching, and management.
I crafted this leadership poster in order to demonstrate a principle I discovered in the MAET course CEP815, at Michigan State University. My inspiration for this comes from an article "Why Should Anyone Be Led By You?" written by Robert Goffee and Gareth Jones, renowned business leadership researchers. Their work states that people are more willing workers and participants when a level of trust is reached with their leaders. Often this level of trust can be earned when a leader figure illuminates a personal weakness. Workers and followers find leaders to be more believable and are more willing to follow, when they do not present themselves as infallible.
